Meet ‘Jemima’ our MGB Roadster

JMX 450N or 'Jemima' as she is affectionately known is a bright red MGB Roadster. She has chrome bumpers, wire wheels and a recently upgraded 'Mohair' hood so she certainly looks the part.

Built in 1975; she was treated to a full restoration in 1998 and has been used sparingly since then. She had further restoration work done in 2014, a full engine rebuild in 2018 and has been comprehensively maintained since. As such; she is in excellent mechanical condition and behaves beautifully on the road.

Her four speed manual gearbox is very simple to use. All in all she is an easy classic to live with and anyone comfortable driving a modern manual car should get along with her just fine.

Weekend Rate - £395 (48 hours)

Weekly Rate - £1,050 (Six nights)

Additional Day(s) - £150 (24 hours)

Refundable Security Deposit - £1,250

Meet ‘Fiona’ our MGC GT

Built in 1968; Fiona was treated to a full restoration around 2002 at which time her bodywork was changed from British Racing Green to the spectacular MG Blaze Red that she wears today.

She has chrome bumpers and wire wheels which combined with the Pininfarina designed coupe body make for a very elegant touring car.

If you’re familiar with the ever popular MGB but haven’t heard of an MGC before then you are forgiven! Just 8,999 MGCs were built between 1967 and 1969 of which 4,542 were soft top roadsters and 4,457 GT coupes.

To the uninitiated; an MGC appears almost identical to an MGB but can be identified by the subtle bonnet bulge which hides a smooth and powerful 3,000cc six cylinder engine.

This 3 litre powerplant allows Fiona to easily keep pace with modern traffic and the six cylinder soundtrack is a delight.

Fiona was equipped from the factory with an automatic gearbox which is well suited to relaxed long distance cruising. The automatic transmission behaves very much like the modern equivalent so she can be driven with confidence by almost anyone.

Weekend Rate - £510 (48 hours)

Weekly Rate - £1,350 (Six nights)

Additional Day(s) - £192.50 (24 hours)

Refundable Security Deposit - £1,500
